Using runline — terms for labs, campuses, and unpublished science
These terms cover workspace access, unpublished lab materials, and how we handle Google or GitHub sign-in. Last updated 2026-10-17. Counsel review pending — not legal sign-off.
The service
runline is a runtime execution engine and operational copilot for wet-lab scientists. It helps you turn methods into executable protocol graphs, run notebooks, triage failed assays, and keep lab memory. These terms apply when you use the website, workspace, or related APIs operated by Runline Labs, Inc..
Eligibility
runline is offered to adults in the United States. You must be at least 16 years old. If you are under 18, a parent, guardian, or school must have read these terms and agreed to them and to your use of runline, and you confirm that they have. runline is not directed to children under 13, and you may not use it if you are younger than 16. If you use runline for a university, company, or lab, you confirm you have authority to bind that organization to these terms for your use.
Accounts and sign-in
You may create an account with email and password or continue with Google or GitHub. You are responsible for the credentials and OAuth account you connect. Keep access limited to people in your lab who are allowed to see unpublished work.
Your lab materials
Protocols, notebooks, images, and instrument logs you upload remain yours. We use them only to operate runline for you. We do not train foundation models on customer lab materials and do not pool unpublished science across labs.
AI accuracy & verification of calculations
runline generative outputs — including Justin’s buffer math, dilution series, master-mix recipes, media prep scales, and protocol suggestions — are experimental assistive aids, not certified lab procedures. The executing scientist remains solely responsible for verifying volumes, containment levels, chemical safety, equipment calibration, and every physical pipetting step before bench execution. Justin is an AI assistant and can make mistakes. Justin sends your request to the AI providers listed on the AI page. Do not ask Justin to decide matters about people; see Acceptable use and decisions about people.
Research use only, patient data, and medical advice
runline is built for research laboratory work. It is not a medical device and is not meant for clinical decisions, and it does not give medical, legal, or regulatory advice. Do not rely on outputs for patient care or diagnosis. runline is not a HIPAA covered entity or business associate and does not sign business associate agreements. Do not upload or enter protected health information, patient records, or any information that identifies a patient or research participant. Automatic redaction is a safety net and does not make such uploads acceptable. We do not claim FDA clearance or any clinical certification.
No unsupported guarantees
Marketing copy that says a feature is “coming soon” (including paid plans, SOC 2 Type II, SSO, or Copilot) is aspirational roadmap language — not a live control or contractual SLA today. DURC / dual-use screening is not productized and is not a live control. Live modules are listed on the product and security pages.
Acceptable use
Do not use runline to violate law, biosafety rules, or dual-use research restrictions. Do not attempt to access another lab’s data, probe the service for exploits, or upload material you do not have rights to store.
Acceptable use and decisions about people
You may not use runline, its AI features, or its analytics to decide, or to help automatically decide, a person's grades, admission, hiring, pay, discipline, health care, credit, housing, insurance, or legal rights. Suggestions about people, such as skills inferred from run records or flags in Review, are aids for a human to check. The person concerned can see and correct them, and a human must make any decision. You also may not use runline to get around biosafety, export-control, or dual-use rules, to present AI output as human-authored peer review or a regulatory filing without any disclosure the venue requires, or to upload content you have no right to share.
Availability and changes
The product is evolving. Features may change, and we may suspend access that threatens security or other labs. We will use the support address below for material notices when we can.
User-generated content & liability
Protocols, comments, shared runs, images, and other uploads are your responsibility. You represent you have rights to submit them and that they do not infringe others’ rights or violate law. We may remove content after a valid DMCA notice or an in-product report at /report. We are not liable for UGC posted by other users. Copyright complaints: see the DMCA page. Copyright complaints go to our designated agent; the DMCA page has the address and email.

Governing law and dispute resolution
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, excluding conflict-of-law rules. Before filing a claim, email support@runline.space and try to resolve the dispute informally for 30 days.
Mandatory arbitration and class-action waiver
This section applies to disputes with organizations and with adults who use runline for work. It does not apply if you use runline as an individual outside of work or if you are under 18: in those cases you and runline may bring claims in small-claims court or in the state or federal courts located in Delaware. The Federal Arbitration Act governs this section. A single arbitrator decides the dispute, in English, with hearings by video unless the arbitrator decides otherwise. Except for small-claims court or injunctive relief for IP / unauthorized access, any dispute arising out of these terms or the service will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered under the Commercial Arbitration Rules of the American Arbitration Association (AAA), seated in Wilmington, Delaware. YOU AND RUNLINE LABS, INC. WAIVE ANY RIGHT TO A JURY TRIAL AND TO PARTICIPATE IN A CLASS, CONSOLIDATED, OR REPRESENTATIVE ACTION. If this waiver is found unenforceable for a claim, that claim proceeds in court and not arbitration. Opt-out: email support@runline.space within 30 days of first accepting these terms with subject “Arbitration Opt-Out” and your account email. This section survives termination.
