We do not auto-email authors. Record an opt-in and a human can follow up. Replies are stored on the same record — still no mail unless a person sends it.
Privacy: we keep the opt-in only to enable a human follow-up. Delete on request via the confirmation opt-out link (or email us) — we erase the record from our store. No other retention claims.
